How long do I have to make my picks? |

In a typical weekend of games, the picks close for all games when the first game begins. That would normally be a few minutes before the 1pm kickoff each Sunday. However, in week 1, the picks will close on Thursday about 9pm. (All times are EST) |

What does it take each week? |

Simple. Once you have joined a group, each week goes something like this:
1. Login 2. Make picks (select which team will win)
3. Assign points (put 1 on the game you are least confident about... working your way up to the most confident) 4. Post some comments, check standings...
5. Logout The cool thing about League is that it's fast and simple -- but if you really want to rack your brain trying to optimize points and picks, you can do that too.
If you're in an absolute hurry, you can always use Pick Wizard to make all the selections for you based on what others have done. |

Are there any prizes in League? |

Yes! In 2009 we are giving away BIG STUFF!! 
Read the home page for details on what's the plan for this year. Also anyone who can average a 68% pick accuracy (in at least 17 games) for this season will be receiving the prize of all prizes, The Brooks-Reed Award, a pretty cool custom engraved beer mug/trophy inspired by Cathy Reed who holds the record for making 184 correct picks for 72%. John Gorenflo was in the #2 spot with 160/224 for 71% Sorry, beer not included. You're not good enough to do 68%? Don't feel bad. That would make you normal. For the rest of us, we have the Leaderboard Awards. Each week the Top 3 finishers are added to an elite group giving anyone a chance at League stardom.

What does it cost to use this? |
|
|
|
Anyone can register here and join a group without charge. We don't require a fee to play so there's no reason not to try it. For free, you can register, build your own group and invite others into it.
What free doesn't get you is the chance to reach everyone here -- you're sphere of influence is only your group.
If instead, you want to take full advantage of this for your group or establishment, we do offer services to go beyond conventional banner advertising. We help get your group actively involved while promoting you here as well. READ MORE |

Why play League? |

There's something about picking teams that makes watching the games more enjoyable. And what better way to build commradery at your place of employment? If you're in the military, it was our intent to connect you with others in the Service as well as friends and family back home. This is our first year so this is your chance to help shape what it will look like next season. We want your input. If you do help, we'll send you something to show our appreciation. Really, we want your input. |
