We've been asked more than once for a form letter that you could send out to friends/family to introduce and/or invite them to League.com. Here's our version. Feel free to add/edit as necessary, be sure to replace all items in the [ ] brackets. If you like it as-is, just copy in paste into your email and send to all your football buds. One more thing... within League there is an option called Invite a Friend. You can use this to invite people directly into your group -- however we've found that most like to begin with an email from their own email system. Also the Invite a Friend only invites one at a time, so if your potential group is large, sending the initial note from your own address book is more efficient. Hey All, I've created a group in http://League.com, an online pickem pool for the NFL season. It's simple. Here's how it works. All you have to do is go to the site, and create an account. Name, username email and password. They send you a confirmtion link, you click it -- you're in. Once you login, you'll need to : Click Join/create groups, the click the button: Join a group Because our group is private, you'll need to know our group code which is: [your_group_code] Once you have completed this, you're in! Then... Each week, login with your ID and password and make your picks. In addition to picks, you also make wild-guesses to express your confidence. e.g., If you are REALLY sure about the outcome of a game, then assign a higher point value. Not sure? Use smaller numbers. (it's all explained within league.com) You earn points by correctly picking winners. Each winner you pick you receive that number of points for the pick. (You don't lose points for making bad picks -- instead others in your group will just make fun of you) Hope you can make it! The above note assumes you have already created your group AND it's a private one. If you made your group public, then just remove the reference go the group_code stuff.
